“Simply put, it was a first-class tournament, which without a doubt, established the LVWCC as one of the premier events on the Nationwide Tour.”

About the Wine Country Championship

Northern California has long been viewed as one of the premier locations in this country and around the world for its world class PGA TOUR and USGA golf tournaments. Added to this portfolio…the Wine Country Championship at Wente Vineyards. With the ambiance of vineyards through the course, rolling hills, dramatic scenery, and oh yes, some of the best golfers in the world challenging this Greg Norman design, this tournament has found a home that has no comparison. We hope to see you, your friends and family, and business associates join us in the fun of this awesome week long event in the Livermore Valley.

The Wine Country Championship is the fifth event on the Nationwide Tour and is the second stop in the US. The four-day professional tournament will take place March 29th through April 1st for a purse of $625,000.

The Wine Country Championship can be seen on The Golf Channel both live and replayed after the tournament. The 2006 champion, Tripp Isenhour, posted six birdies on the final day to secure the win at the inaugural event and completing the tournament at nine under par.

“The immense exposure and hospitality added to the charitable benefits make this the best marketing value for any company in the bay area.“
Rick Gross, Ameriprise Financial

Supports Local Charities
Like all Nationwide Tour events, proceeds from the Wine Country Championship benefits local charities. The host organization for this event, the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation, is dedicated to supporting local children's charities with this tournament and the annual Livermore Valley Wine Auction. The 2006 golf tournament raised $150,000 for charity and is expected to grow to $450,000 in 2007.

If you represent a school or children's charity, you can participate in our Ticket Partner Program to raise money for your organization. Click here to learn more.
