The Taylor Family Foundation
To help children in need lead healthier and more enriched lives is the mission of The Taylor Family Foundation. During the past four years the Foundation has focused its energies primarily on building a permanent campsite for these children on 138 oak filled acres in the Livermore Hills. Camp Arroyo, now completed, with its own specially designed swimming pool, rope's course and playing field, provides a free summer camp for children with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses. The camp accommodates up to 144 children and staff. Camp Arroyo is a place where kids find a sense of community and can make friends with others who face the challenge of similar illnesses.

The Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center
The Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center is a not-for-profit, community-based organization chartered to build and operate two new performance venues that are designed to bring world-class arts and entertainment to the Tri-Valley, while enhancing downtown Livermore as a shopping, dining and entertainment destination. The 500-seat Bankhead Theater opened on October 1, 2007 and serves as the home for eight local performing arts organizations while hosting a variety of visiting artists and ensembles from across the country and beyond. The second venue, a 2,000-seat regional theater presenting Broadway productions as well as touring orchestras, dance companies and headline artists, is expected to open in 2010. In addition, the Center operates the Bothwell Arts Center, an arts incubator that provides classroom, studio and rehearsal space for area artists, students and arts organizations.
